The short version
- Accounts
- None. You can play without signing up or giving us your name or email.
- What leaves your device
- Anonymous app-usage and crash data, plus the technical information our advertising partners need to show ads and count installs.
- Children
- The game is suitable for all ages, so we ask our partners to serve only non-personalised, child-appropriate ads to every player.
- Selling data
- We never sell or rent player data.
This Privacy Policy explains how VAN OORD MIDDLE EAST LIMITED (DUBAI BRANCH) ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the mobile game Waterflow Pipe Con (the "Game"), distributed through Google Play.
By downloading or playing the Game, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.
Information we collect
Information you give us
The Game has no registration, login, or user profile. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or any other directly identifying information. If you choose to email us for support, we receive whatever you include in that message.
Information collected automatically
When you play, our service providers may collect the following on our behalf:
- Device and technical data — device model, operating system version, language, country or region, screen size, and network type.
- App activity — levels started and completed, session length, in-app events, settings changes, and similar gameplay statistics used to improve level design and difficulty.
- Diagnostics — crash logs and performance data.
- Identifiers — the Android Advertising ID and app-instance identifiers, used to measure installs, cap how often an ad is shown, and detect invalid traffic or fraud.
- Approximate location — an approximate region derived from your IP address, used for legal compliance and ad-serving requirements. We do not collect GPS or precise location.
This information is collected in an aggregated or pseudonymous form. We do not use it to identify you personally.
Third-party services
The Game includes software from the providers below. Each acts as an independent controller of the data it collects and handles that data under its own privacy policy.
Before you publish: delete any provider on this list that your build does not actually contain. Google compares this page against your Data Safety declaration, and a mismatch is a common cause of rejection.
- Google AdMob — serves advertisements. How Google uses data from apps that use its services
- Google Analytics for Firebase — anonymous usage analytics. Firebase Privacy and Security
- Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting. Firebase Privacy and Security
- Unity Ads — serves advertisements. Unity Player Privacy Policy
- ironSource (Unity LevelPlay) — ad mediation. ironSource Privacy Policy
- Google Play services — distribution, licence verification, and app updates. Google Privacy Policy
Children's privacy
Waterflow Pipe Con is designed for a general audience that includes children, and participates in Google Play's Families programme.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children as defined by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation, or comparable laws.
- All ad requests are tagged as child-directed. Advertising partners are instructed to serve only non-personalised, age-appropriate ads, and not to use the Advertising ID for interest-based profiling or remarketing.
- The Game contains no social features, chat, user-generated content, or links out to social networks.
- Every advertising SDK in the Game is one that Google Play has certified as self-certified ads SDK for use in Families apps.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us at the address below and we will delete it promptly.
Before you publish: targeting under-13s means you must also enable the child-directed treatment flags in your SDK setup (TAG_FOR_CHILD_DIRECTED_TREATMENT in AdMob, the equivalent COPPA flag in Unity and ironSource) and pick only Families-certified ad networks in your mediation list. Publishing this section without doing that in code is what gets Families apps suspended.
How we use information
- To operate the Game and save your progress on your device.
- To understand which levels are too easy, too hard, or where players stop playing, so we can improve them.
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
- To display advertising, limit repeat ads, and measure whether campaigns work.
- To detect fraud, abuse, and invalid ad traffic.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for advertising and analytics, and on our legitimate interest in a working, secure product for diagnostics and fraud prevention.
Permissions the Game uses
- Internet and network state — to load ads and send anonymous analytics.
- Advertising ID — for ad delivery, frequency capping, and fraud prevention.
The Game does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, call logs, files, or precise location.
Data retention
Game progress and settings are stored on your device and are erased when you uninstall the Game. Analytics and advertising data are retained by our service providers for the periods set out in their own policies — typically between 2 and 14 months for event-level data — after which they are deleted or fully aggregated.
Your choices and rights
Controls on your device
You can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time in Settings › Google › Ads on your Android device, and you can opt out of ad personalisation from the same screen. Uninstalling the Game removes all locally stored data.
Legal rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent at any time, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Because we do not hold information that identifies you, we may need you to supply your Advertising ID to act on a request. Send requests to the email address below; we respond within 30 days. EU and UK residents also have the right to complain to their local data protection authority.
Security
Data sent from the Game travels over encrypted connections, and our service providers maintain their own technical and organisational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
Our service providers operate globally, so information may be processed on servers outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Those transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Game changes or the law requires. The revised version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be announced in the Game or through the Google Play listing before they take effect.
